A morning call from Delta Index says: “Adobe Systems have formed a MACD crossover on the charts, signal Buy at 3328, Stop at 3192 and take profit at 3580. “Sears – MACD Crossover. Signal a Buy at 8280 with a Stop at 7793 and an initial target at 9216.”Elsewhere we see that the FTSE 100 is 0.8% higher at 5956. Can the index make a run for 6000? Only the release of US non-farm payroll figures this afternoon will decide.

Damage to the world’s third largest economy worse than initially expected. The recent Japanese earthquake, which was then followed by a devastating tsunami and then by one of Japan’s worst nuclear accidents, is set to damage the Japanese economy more deeply and for longer than initially expected.Power outages and possible tax rises are likely to hurt companies and households and could outweigh the mild economic aftershock from the 1995 Kobe earthquake, given that oil prices and the yen are stronger and Japan’s debt pile is much bigger.And investment banks are today warning that while oil prices have dipped in the immediate aftermath of the disaster, prices will rise as Japan looks to hydrocarbons to replace lost clean energy production.

San Jose (+100) @ L.A. (-120); Total set at 5

Both teams come into this game after beating the Flames and likely ending their playoff hopes, the difference is that San Jose did it last night, while L.A. was back at home resting. The Sharks took advantage of a Calgary team that was on the latter half of a back-to-back last night, and the Kings are hoping they can do the same against San Jose tonight.
