Its a tricky list of matches today. Its taken an age to go through the betting tips so I will post some thoughts for trading later this morning.

Interesting matches that stand out are Baghdatis against Gulbis and Rosol v Groth. Baggy is a very capable grass court player and has a strong head to head against Gulbis. I am reading this morning that Gulbis doesnt have a great record on grass. I agree its not amazing but you could say thatabout Gulbis on any surface. He does have some notable wins on the surface including Berdych. I think it will be interesting to see how the new Gulbis does on the grass this year.

The LSU Tigers are getting ready for another run towards the top of the college football picks world. It was a great year for LSU last season, but also a disappointing one. Their undefeated run came to an end against Alabama in the National Championship game, as the Crimson Tide got revenge for an earlier defeat, and pulled off the big win to take home the title.

That was a crushing defeat, but they still had an undefeated regular season and SEC championship to their credit in 2011-2012.

It’s not often you see a smiling Leonard Hamilton after a game even when it is a win. But after a near perfect performance Hamilton had plenty of reason to grin from ear to ear after Florida State manhandled Notre Dame all game long in beating the Fighting Irish 71-57 to reach their first Sweet 16 since 1993.

Lower seeds such as a ten seed that Florida State came into the NCAA as generally don’t beat second seeded teams in such dominating fashion. But that is exactly what the Seminoles did in giving nothing easy to the Irish from start to finish.

Heck, even the walk ons got into the swing of things as Andrew Rutledge finished off the scoring with a three pointer from the right corner with just seconds left in the game.

Spread betting in the volatile environment

In highly volatile markets in which prices move suddenly in an unpredictable manner can be a very intimidating experience even for the most experienced trader. When share prices fall, a lot of traders instinctively pull back their money back and keep in inside their banks.

However, for a trader who have extensive knowledge of spread betting, falling markets and volatility is not an obstacle in profiting from a difficult environment. Even with the most difficult situations, spread betters represent an advantage for opportunity in profits which traditional share trading does not seem to have.

With traditional share dealing, individual traders can only profit when the existing markets are on the rise; there is no effective approach for a private trader to profit from a share price whose price is plummeting.

Spread bets on the on the hand, allows traders to gain from falling markets through a process known as short-selling or going short. Short selling in spread betting is practically the same as purchasing except that traders are targeting for the price to go down instead of going up. Choosing a reputable share index can definitely help you decide the suitable size of a particular bet you wish to put.

The process works basically in all intents and purposes to be similar but the only difference lies in the fact that it is used to open a deal instead of simply purchasing and selling shares. For every point the market goes down, you would be getting your money’s worth and if the market goes up you lose but the interesting and advantage fact is that there are no dealing charges and tax on profits you earn.

Consequently, if you place a bet on a share that is predicted to fall but goes up instead, you practically lose money. It is worth remembering that when going for a short position, although gains are unlimited for a share price since it will never fall below zero, losses are technically unlimited since prices can soar to unlimited heights.

Going short is different from betting if the market will rise (technically going – long) and it is crucial that you employ the use of stop – losses. Because once you place a bet you need to indicate the upper limit for your bet and if the price reaches that limit, the bet will instantly be stopped so that you won’t incur additional losses.

There are two known types of stop – losses available for traders. The non – guaranteed version which is the more popular one comes with an additional charge since it is set to cover a wider scope of stop – losses than usual.

It really doesnt matter whether which direction you place your positions in spread betting because the advantages clearly outweigh the risks over traditional share trading. Because of its quick and flexible way of trading it can move rapidly in volatile markets which allow traders to share their trading skills to move up and down as the prices variably change.

Davydenko is a strong favourite to beat Dodig but his starting price is too low at 1.37 . Dodig is better on hard courts and has lost 7 of his last 8 on clay.

They have only played once before which was at the 2011 US Open. Davydenko won in 5 sets. Davy is a much better clay courter. I want over 1.60 .

Laura Robson hasnt been in the best form but starts as favourite against Morita at 1.73 .

Moritas form hasnt been any better. I think we will see a few swings in this match but I expect Robson to win.

Moritas consistency is one of her strengths and Robson will need her serve to be better than we have seen lately.

All the Seminoles needed to do was to hold VCU on the inbound play under the Rams’ basket.
