Sportsbook – Coca Cola 600 Preview
The Coca Cola 600 is set for Sunday with odds on the board at the sportsbook.
Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards are the two favorites with each driver listed at 4.5-1 at the Internet sportsbook. Here is a look at Sunday’s race that will start in the daylight and end in the dark.
Carl Edwards 4.5-1 There is no question that Edwards is the hot pick at the sportsbook to win this week’s race. He won the All-Star race last week and it wasn’t ever really in question. Edwards leads the point’s standings and he could be tough to beat on Sunday. Only seven drivers have ever won the All-Star race and then won the Coca-Cola 600 the next week but it has happened twice in the last three years with Kurt Busch pulling off the double last year while Kasey Kahne did it in 2008.
Kyle Busch 4.5-1 Busch has already been in the news this week for being an idiot as he was given a ticket for driving 128 mph in a 45 mph zone. He may not do any better on Sunday either as he has not had that much success in Charlotte. He has never won at Charlotte but he does have two wins this season and is third in the point’s standings.
Jimmie Johnson 6.5-1 The driver with the best career numbers at Charlotte is Jimmie Johnson and it is not even close. He has six wins and ten top five finishes. He won this race three straight years from 2003 to 2005. He is also the last driver to start on the pole and get the win as he pulled that off in 2004. He is also the driver who holds the record for the farthest back a race winner has ever started from at 37th. He is listed with odds of 6.5-1 at Sbg global.
Matt Kenseth 9-1 He has won at Charlotte in the past and he has two wins on the season. When the race gets down to the end he always seems to be in contention for the win. He is getting a long look from gamblers this week as his odds are listed at 9-1.
Longshot Kasey Kahne – He won this race in 2006 and in 2008 and he has some attractive odds at 18.5 to 1.
