Online Sportsbook – Uncle Mo the Likely Derby Favorite

Tags: Favorite, Online Sportsbook, Uncle Mo

The Kentucky Derby is just about a month away and it is likely that Uncle Mo will be the favorite at the online sportsbook.

The horse is the 3-1 favorite in the final Kentucky Derby Future Wager pool at Churchill Downs.  Only two other horses have single-digit odds and are considered contenders in Kentucky Derby odds at the sportsbook company.

Uncle Mo The unbeaten 2-year old champion could easily go off with odds lower than what they are in the future pool.  He looks like a superstar horse and everyone is going to be on board for the Kentucky Derby assuming things stay on course.  He is going to be the favorite in the Wood Memorial at SBG but as of right now the field really doesn’t look that great.

The Factor He is the 6-1 second choice in the future’s pool at the sportsbook. He was very impressive in winning the Rebel at Oakland and he may start to get more action.  The horse is definitely talented but many people wonder how far he wants to go.

Premier Pegasus He won the San Felipe and is starting to get some action at 8-1 in Derby futures. Let’s see how he does in the Santa Anita Derby before we get too excited in terms of odds at the sportsbook company.

Horses on the Radar Nick Zito has Dialed In who will be a horse to watch in the Florida Derby. His graded stakes earnings could be a problem so he needs to run well in the Florida Derby.  Another horse in the Florida Derby will be Soldat for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. He won’t get the easy trip he had in the Fountain of Youth. Another horse to keep an eye on in the Florida Derby is To Honor and Serve for trainer Bill Mott. Not to be forgotten are Bob Baffert’s Jaycito and Todd Pletcher’s Stay Thirsty.  What a huge race the Florida Derby is going to be as Stay Thirsty is in that field as well.

Major Derby Preps Ahead The big Kentucky Derby prep races are about a week away as the Santa Anita Derby, Wood Memorial, Florida Derby and Illinois Derby will give us a clearer picture of the Kentucky Derby favorites.  It looks like the Wood Memorial is going to be Uncle Mo and a bunch of also-rans while the Florida Derby and Santa Anita Derby are going to be loaded with talent.
