It’s time for the US Open again as the famed golf tournament will tee off for the 113th time on June 13. This year’s event will take place at the small Merion Golf Club in Philadelphia with all of the world’s top players on hand. Once again, American Tiger Woods is listed as the favourite even though he hasn’t won a major tournament since back in 2008.
In fact, with bookmaker William Hill, Woods was listed with odds of 6/1 followed by Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Graeme McDowell, and Rory McIlroy. However, the weather could go a long way in deciding this year’s winner as severe storms are forecast for the area and the course could become soaked.

Its a tricky list of matches today. Its taken an age to go through the betting tips so I will post some thoughts for trading later this morning.
Interesting matches that stand out are Baghdatis against Gulbis and Rosol v Groth. Baggy is a very capable grass court player and has a strong head to head against Gulbis. He does have some notable wins on the surface including Berdych. I think it will be interesting to see how the new Gulbis does on the grass this year.
